What are essential oils and where do they come from?
Essential oils are plant based essences derived from plants; specifically – shrubs, leaves, flowers, stems, roots, bark, trees, bushes and seeds. The plant material is put through a precise distillation process resulting in a high grade essential oil.
These wonderful plant based medicines are powerful, potent and versatile. More than 100-10,000 times more concentrated than dried herbs. For example, one drop of peppermint essential oil is equivalent to 28 peppermint teas. Even though essential oils are many times more potent than herbs; unlike pharmaceuticals, they very rarely generate any side effects. With pure therapeutic grade essential oils people can find relief from disease, infections, pain, and mental challenges.
